My 93 F350 7.3 IDI factory turbo 115000 miles is burning about a quart of oil every 200 miles. It doesnt leak much, but you can see blue smoke especially at startup. I tried cleaning the CDR, but I think it got worse after that (no i didnt use compressed air, only a gas bath and air dry).Boonies of SoCal. spray it down with diesel and let that soak in... then chase that with some purple stuff or equivalent... works great on cement and I can only imagine would work just as well on chassis. I would normally say oven cleaner but that stuff WILL eat paint... good for axles and such though. Mar 30, 2010.One thing to keep in mind, is these engines flow a whole lot more air than a typical Cummins 6BT. The boost number will be lower for a given hp rating. If you're trying to just get 60 pounds of booost, it's going to be a rather big turbo, or 2. You can get 4-600hp from an HX40, but it's running it on the ragged edge.Keep filling that chamber with epoxy. And maybe drop a few washers in there for good luck. Put the big nut back on, with epoxy, as well. That will almost completely make the valve a bypass. There WILL be just a tiny bit of a pulse in the line, however, due to the rest of how the valve works. For that, pic number three.Its not very long. Install the jets before you attempt installing the pistons. Those bolts are a special grade bolt too. Do not use a home depot bolt. On the DI side, i believe (from my experiences) an injector tip with fewer, larger holes performs better with wmo.My 88 IDI has a new engine but no block heater.
